What You’ll Be Expected to Deliver

  • Become an expert on Alendel product offerings and effectively communicate them to our clients.
  • Preparing reports and documents at the request of the sales manager
  • Contacting customers on a regular basis for various tasks assigned and/or inquiries
  • Support the sales manager and sales staff in securing sales and supporting the closure of sales transactions/opportunities
  • Support ongoing client needs and ensure 100% customer satisfaction.
  • Engage new clients as a lead developer and proactively reach out to existing clients to maximize sales.
  • Establish customer rapport, building and maintaining long-term relationships.
  • Provide ongoing support to the entire sales team to enhance relationships with strategic accounts.

What You’ll Be Expected to Deliver

  • Becoming an expert on all products sold by Alendel. This includes educating clients and guiding them to the proper products for their projects.
  • Servicing an existing client base that includes drapery and upholstery manufactures, Designers, Decorators, and Retail Stores.
  • Scheduling sales presentations to strategically target accounts that are actively working on projects. This may include group presentations.
  • Structuring travel and appointment schedules efficiently to maximize client exposure to our products and grow sales throughout all of Alberta
  • Building long-term relationships with clients by providing excellent service.
  • Researching and qualifying new accounts to grow business
  • Maintaining and updating client sample libraries.
  • Actively following up on all quotes, sample requests, open and potential projects.
  • Effectively reaching company sales projections.
  • Effectively reporting to the sales manager    
  • The ability to carry samples to client meetings.
  • This position will require the majority of your time driving throughout Alberta.

Marketing & Graphic Design Specialist

In collaboration with the Creative Director and Product Merchandiser you will be responsible for building our social following, interact with our communities, and create and manage our digital assets. The Marketing & Graphic Specialist will be responsible for developing graphic & photography assets, designing & distributing price lists, developing & launching digital campaigns, and maintain Alendel’s website.

Education:
Bachelor’s Degree specializing in marketing, communications, new media, or relevant fields. 

Experience:
2-3 years’ experience in marketing, digital marketing and communications. 

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills with a proven ability to generate workable and creative ideas, concepts, and techniques.
  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of social media platforms and digital tools (i.e., WordPress, WooCommerce, Instagram, Pinterest, Facebook, YouTube, Issuu, MailChimp & Google Analytics).
  • Strong copywriting and proofing skills.

Merchandising Coordinator

What Do We Expect

As our product Merchandising Coordinator, your responsibilities include, but are not limited to, assisting in the development of new fabric collections, coordinate and manage all sampling, preparing sample quotations, liaison with sample makers & vendors, ensure product information accuracy. You will also be responsible for managing sampling requirements for our sales representatives, showrooms, special projects, and product launches.  

Qualifications 
Experience: 
2-3 years’ experience in administration, or merchandising 

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Ability to maintain simultaneous projects with competing timelines and priorities.
  • Ability to communication clearly in English, verbal & written. French would be an asset.
  • Textile knowledge would be preferred but not required.
  • Advanced editing and proofing skills.
  • Ability to audit product details for errors.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office 365; Microsoft Excel experience is a must
  • Experience with SAP would be an asset.

  • Source product substitutions.
  • Run sales reports, TPS sheets, bottom strip info and website data from SAP.

Creative Studio Assistant

What Do We Expect

  • In this entry level role, you will collaborate with the Creative Director, Merchandising Coordinator and Marketing & Graphics Specialist. You will be responsible for supporting these positions as required. Some of your tasks include, but are not limited to, name and numbering new product samples, assisting in photo shoots, preparing mood boards, 2nd proofing copy, measuring production samples (repeats, width etc.). Assist in the coordination samples for the sales teams, product launches and corporate showroom. Pick up printed material from local printer. Shop for props and accessories. Renaming and resizing and uploading images. Assist in the preparation of customer holiday gifts.

Qualifications 

Education: 
High-School + 

Experience: 
1 year office experience 

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: 

  • Ability to maintain simultaneous projects with competing timelines and priorities. 
  • Textile knowledge would be preferred but not required.
